Deburring is usually applied to smooth out or remove burrs from metal surfaces and parts. Metal parts often have challenging areas that are difficult to deburr. For instance in metal tube fabrication, there are two kinds of burrs - the cold-formed burr and the hot-formed burr. The hot-formed burr is hard to remove. In most cases, abrasive saws are used to deburr them. This burr has more material mass that exhaust most deburring method. Also, heated and cooled metal is more difficult to deburr. Cold-formed burrs, on the other hand, is considered more economical and easier.
Metal deburring processes often include polishing or surface finishing. Typically, there are certain machines for this type of method. A complete process involves deburring, polishing, descaling and degreasing. Take note that there are factors to be considered in getting or purchasing such machines. They include the minimum and maximum size of elements as well as the volume of work in each day or batch and process time.
In most wet operations, several metal parts or materials can be processed. The machine's abrasive belts, conveyor belt, pressure rollers and brushes are simultaneously cleaned by the coolant water. Their parts are attached firmly on the conveyor. Dust particles are also instantly eliminated into the closed circuit coolant system. However, during dry operation, good machines should not have water marks on aluminum or stainless steel. The automation also facilitates dust extraction into the dust collector.
Generally, metal deburring machines can be applied for:

* deburring of all tabbed parts or upformed areas.
* deburring of PVC-coated materials with no damages on the coating

Also, machine manufacturers and distributors usually specify the abrasive media shape, grade, size and process time. Remember that there is a different machines for small and large metal parts. However, they are designed to achieve faster deburring results. They are also effective in oxidation removal and slag grinding.
